Storms. The bestselling author of Atomic Lobster /5(). Nuclear Jellyfish is a funny book and Tim Dorsey is a very funny writer. In reading reviews for his other books, I have noticed that there is a temptation, almost a compulsion on the part of reviewers to compare Tim Dorsey to Carl Hiassen. After all, both write humorous mystery stories set in Florida that skewer that state's legendary 5/5(5).

Nuclear Jellyfish of New Jersey By: Jonathan Rand I liked this book because I just like American Chillers and also this one was kind of interesting that the monster is a jellyfish. The main characters were Shayleen, Tony, and Isobel. It took place in New Jersey at the beach where Shayleen and here parents went for vacation/5.

Would you consider the audio edition of Nuclear Jellyfish to be better than the print version. Don't know, because I have not read the print verison.

But I have to tell you, listening to this is a riot. Real "laugh out loud" stuff. What other book might you compare Nuclear Jellyfish to and why. Well, the other books in this series. Lovable sociopath Serge Storms (Atomic Lobster, etc.) goes high tech, spreading information over the Internet about Florida’s gas, food and putting in some pro bono work dispatching a pair of skinheads for roughing up a guy living in a cardboard box underneath one of Jacksonville’s seven bridges, Serge decides he needs a paying : Tim Dorsey.

The book, published inis the eleventh in a series of 13 (so far?) but the first I've read. Perhaps the series will get old before I finish all, but I do want to go back and start at the beginning. The book is crude and vulgar, has a bit of fairly explicit sex, some bad words, and lots of violence.

And I liked it. Why?/5(13). Florida's east coast is where most of the action takes place in Nuclear Jellyfish. While the reader follows Serge and his amigos on the usual bizarre and convoluted journey, much can be learned about the state's history, for all of Dorsey's books contain intricate tidbits of historical trivia/5(2).
